Touro Berlin’s campus is located in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin, inside a historic Bauhaus villa ensemble. The campus was originally the home of the Lindemann family and was designed by German architect Bruno Paul.

Over time, the building experienced different historical chapters before becoming the home of Touro Berlin after it was acquired by Touro College in 2003. Today, students describe the campus as having a special atmosphere — a safe, incubator-like space where they can grow, learn, and develop.

The History Behind Touro Berlin

From New York to Berlin

Touro College was founded in New York City in 1970 by Dr. Bernard Lander as a liberal arts college. Since its foundation, Touro has expanded internationally, reaching locations including the United States, Israel, Russia, and Germany.

In 2001, Dr. Lander worked with the Berlin government to establish Touro College in Berlin, inspired by Berlin’s global society and its significant Jewish history.

Growing Academic Opportunities

Touro Berlin opened in 2003 with students studying in the International Business program, which later developed into the Bachelor of Science in Business Management. The university continued expanding with the introduction of the Master of Arts program in Holocaust Communication and Tolerance, the MBA program in 2010, and further development through programs in Psychology and Cybersecurity.

This accreditation covers Touro University and its branch campuses, locations, and instructional sites, including Berlin. Institutions are reaccredited every eight years through a process that includes self-study preparation and evaluation by MSCHE peer reviewers.

Touro University’s accreditation was reaffirmed in 2015, and its Mid-Point Peer Review was successfully completed in 2021. Touro Berlin was visited and audited in March 2024 and completed the process through the collaboration of administration, faculty, students, management, and the support of Touro University New York.
