Date: February 17th, 2021, 6:30pm – 8pm (Berlin local time)
Dr. iur. Weber will review German Compensation policy as of Luxembourg Accord till our days. We will discuss the preliminary administrative public law branch of Weidergutmachung in the form of the BEG (Bundesentschaedigungsgesetz) through other solutions such as via the Social law and external legal compensation arrangements.
Then we will focus on the 90s, starting with the fall of the wall, signing of the unity agreement to funds established jointly with German Industry and Government, all in order to resolve outstanding compensation issues.
We then take a look into contemporary compensation issues such as in regard to the Ghetto pension law and latest Federal Social Court decision, and relevant compensation questions.
