Florian Busch-Janser - April 25, 2012

 

On April 25th on the Campus of Touro College Berlin, Mr. Florian Busch-Janser, Managing Partner of BJP Interim Consultants, in a stimulating and informative presentation, shared with students his experiences in starting a business.  Not mincing words, Mr. Busch-Janser discussed its ups, downs, his mistakes and successes. He emphasized that before going into business one must determine whether he/she really has the type of personality to be an entrepreneur.  Professor Kiefer, MBA dean, noted that Touro Berlin’s MBA faculty is initiating an incubator program to assist students and graduates who are starting their own businesses.

 

Mr. Busch-Janser also discussed the role, remuneration and career opportunities of a lobbyist in various situations: as a consultant, an association representative and a corporate representative. 

 

Mr. Busch-Janser’s presentation was arranged in cooperation with Berlin Partner GmbH with which Touro College Berlin’s MBA program has a cooperative agreement.  Berlin Partner has also arranged for Touro students to visit EU offices in Brussels in May of this year.

Bernd Buschhausen – December 6, 2011

Bernd Buschhausen, Deputy Director of Edelman (Germany) engaged MBA students and guests in a discussion of the use of the internet and social media instruments in Public Affairs. Edelman, internationally known, has been designated the largest Public Relations Firm world-wide, and was awarded best PR Agency of the Year 2011.

Dr. Roderick Parkes provided helpful information as to the differences in lobbying approaches one takes in approach-

ing the German government in Berlin and the EU Parliament in Brussels, which generated numerous questions and comments from the audience.
