Dr. Robert Pomes is Associate Professor of Business Management and Information Systems.
In
his current position Robert is Managing Director of goolive Deutschland GmbH, based in Hanover. In addition, he is a senior advisor to a Hanover-based start-up company: openPS - your ideas, your page.
Prior to joining goolive, Robert had worked in a different management and individual contributor positions at companies including LG Electronics, Saturn Electro and KPS Consulting Group. His fields of expertise include launching of new businesses, sales and marketing, retail business, information technology and new media.
In his academic career Robert worked as Research Associate and Ph.D. Student at the School of Economics and Management of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University Hanover. Where he received a Master of Science in Economics and Management and a Ph.D. degree in Information Systems Research.
His teaching experience includes SAP, Information Management, Information Security and Social Networks at Leibniz University Hanover and the University of Applied Science Hochschule Weserbergland, both at graduate level.
With his strong academic background and his broad experience in different management roles for international companies and start-ups, he brings a wide range of experience into his courses.
Moreover Robert is a founding member of Hannoversches Doktorandennetz Wirtschaftswissenschaften e.V. and member of several scientific associations like bdvb, DGI and GI.
In his spare time, Robert is an impassionate culinary, likes jogging and reading and supports the famous soccer club Hannover 96.
