Prof. Dr. Viktoria Hertling

 

is a literary historian who has studied in Germany and in the United States. She received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She taught at Mount Holyoke College, Kent State University, and the University of Nevada, Reno. In 1994, she founded and directed until 2008 the academic program in Holocaust, Genocide & Peace Studies in Nevada. She started teaching at Touro College Berlin in 2009. She has published widely on the Holocaust in Eastern Europe, German and Austrian exile literature, theater and the arts.
