Dr. Elena Mechik

Managing in the New Millenium 

Elena Mechik graduated from Touro College Berlin in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Administration. In 2011, she received her Master degree in Engineering and Economics from Technical University of Berlin. She obtained advanced training in Development Economics from the London School of Economics in 2014. In 2017, she received her PhD in Earth Science at the Hamburg University.

Her scientific interests are related to the research of “Green Growth” and “Green Economy”. She analyzes the methods of modern strategic management in implementing the concept of sustainable development, taking into account the preservation of the balance between the social and economic challenges while maintaining the environment. Since 2008, Elena Mechik has conducted comparative research of economic activities in tropical forest communities in Brazil, India and Thailand and has co-established a social enterprise in Brazil. She is a founder of the NGO “umWELTweit” which follows the goals of poverty alleviation and environmental protection.
